Images are showing again, was trying to reread it, but it is less good without the ancillary details.

I didn't need to do anything, so it must have just been something intermittent.
I appreciate everyone's patience, I have a lot going on right now but I will finish the AAR as soon as I am up to it.

I see you corrected your earlier post about ASMs to all strike planes carrying HASMs. What advantage will MBs have? After all, in real life planes have only started carrying heavy ASMs like the P-800 in the 1990s and 2000s...

double the weight, almost 40 years earlier. The "star effector threat" of much of Red Storm Rising...
And such missiles would only be suitable for MB types in RTW classifcation.

Is it possible to continue this AAR after the partnership with Matrix Games?

Is it possible to continue this AAR after the partnership with Matrix Games? It is entirely up to Gary, but no reason from our end I can think of that would prevent him from continuing as long as things are cleared.

Is it possible to continue this AAR after the partnership with Matrix Games? It is possible, and I have a backed-up folder for this game with only beta119 to ensure it, which is good considering all the updates that have gone on (currently testing b151).
However, there are a few issues. Firstly, and the biggest impediment, Life had done a pretty fair job of hitting me in the teeth with bricks lately, which tends to not be encouraging towards lengthy projects. The next time I hit "turn" I don't know if I'll be looking at mere events that would not merit a single note or a carrier battle which I would need and want to treat to extreme high-focus documentation and take 3-4 days; it takes work to document & dramatize individual squadrons. I simply don't want to commit to 3 or 4 days of anything at the moment, I don't feel I am in control of my time horizons yet (if that makes any sense). Secondly, there is the thought that the game has evolved shockingly in 30-odd versions, and a missile-age carrier battle in this game would play differently than the end product. I am not certain that a player's experience would neatly match the type of actions I would describe.
However, I am grateful you inquired; it feels good to have something appreciated. Fortunately I've recently had a bit of a positive turn, as my new day job seems just overflowing with genuinely *good* people, such that I grow misty-eyed just thinking about my blessings. It is possible I will feel settled and secure enough to continue this a bit in October. Perhaps it will be my Hobbit-esque reverse-gifting birthday present; there is at least one loose end I hope to tie up in the story.
I will see how the idea sits with me over the next few days having spoken it out loud.

(temporary Photobucket issue preventing images)
March 1965
Following the withdrawal of the French fleet, again protected by a vast air umbrella to protect against the gauntlet of Italian airbases in covering its route, the foe exercised vastly more caution in the second month of operations. Apparently considering raids off Crete and Rhodes both efforts never materialized as Italy demonstrated willingness to accept battle. Seeing this reluctance the Marina elected to probe the French fleet base at Toulon with a squadron of destroyers; 3 remodeled Vittorio Alfieri class (2000 tons, 10 x4", 7 TT) from 1933, 1 Alvise da Mosto from the emergency program of 1931 (2000 tons, 6 x4" 8 x3" 3 TT), and 2 Audace DDGs sailing in support (3500 tons, 2 x5", 5 TT, 2 MSSM, 8 HSSM, 2 MSAM). The night's encounter was bloodless for Italy but puzzling for the navy's technicians. 8 medium surface-to-surface missiles were fired at ranges between 4000 and 20,000 yards but yielded no hits, to their best conclusions due to ECM and the small size of the French corvettes encountered. However it was a successful excursion as with gunfire and a single torpedo 2 corvettes and 2 freighters were sunk, one corvette especially not relishing exposure to the Vincenzo Giaberti's fully automatic 77mm secondary batteries.
France being unable to protect her coasts cost her greatly in prestige in the eyes of the world, but the most momentous event of the month was Germany honoring its alliance with France and entering the war. At least the budgetary crisis was seemingly addressed by Parliament thanks apparently to some behind-the-scenes work by The Abruzzi.

Its a subscription issue, it should be cleared up shortly. Were you able to get the photobucket issues cleared up? As perhaps the most interested person in the continuation of this AAR, I will offer you this direct commentary that this AAR will indeed be properly completed. Life has moderated for me which has coincided with a need to help launch RTW3 with a new AAR, but I still have the old game build installed so that the DLC can ultimately receive its final send off.
...after some Imperial vengeance.
