I'd like for an expansion to the doctrine tab because I feel like more doctrines would be a very helpful addition to the game. For example, 3 doctrines that might be very interesting would be a minelaying, a commerce raiding, and a building doctrine. The minelaying doctrine would add a slight increase in minelaying values, the commerce raiding doctrine would add a greater chance of sinking merchant ships, and the building doctrine would take 1-2 months off of ship build time.
Another idea is maybe a technology that allows ships to drop mine in battle, if so equipped as this was something that could happen in real life, and that the british were worried about in a number of battles.

There already 2 build doctrines. The UK gets an efficient ship-building industry (cuts construction time by 10%), whereas other nations (Japan for example) get inefficient ship-building industry which increases construction time by 10%.
Mine dropping, whilst existing in SAI, I think is a little too micro-management for the size of games that can occur.

i think there is a "damage Control" doctrine coming in the new expansion, that's 1 more there
