Hey guys, I'm playing the game and i have just noticed that in the game the ai always seems to have better gunnery than me, like in 1925 i built a super cruiser w/ improved directors and fought a french bc from 1911 with central firing but they scored 5:1 hits on me any idea why? Many Thanks

During battles, you can check to see the different factors affecting your gunnery and hit chances.
In general, crew quality and gunnery training (the optional training that adds maintenance cost) might be it. An elite crew and gunnery training increase the hit chance considerably. The position of the sun and the position of the ships might be another factor (sun glare in your fire control teams' eyes).

I found out its quite the opposite. After 1908 my ships and crews are usually so good that I can score absolutely crazy results in a fairly balanced gunnery duels, sinking dreadnoughts with pre-dreadnoughts, killing 1928 heavy cruiser with 1910 heavy cruiser, etc. What troubles me are torpedoes. I have usually no or almost no torpedo hits, even after a really advatageous flotilla attacks, while the AI easily scores impossible hits in impossible situations. In terms of air force, I usually score a little bit better results than AI, but I always finish my work by big guns.

I'd agree, I find gunnery training, leaning into FC tech and judiciously applied fleet exercises work wonders!
