No AI short range capital ships for the Global Naval Power nation and at least some long range ships instead. With the NWS team now focused on a totally separate RTW3, I don’t think RTW2 will get any further improvements besides maybe some update to deal with the most recent bugs, so I will post this here hoping it may be added to RTW3: Is it possible to stop the AI designing short range battleships and cruisers for the Global Naval Power nation? I’m thinking in particular of the 1920 start, when we cannot design our own fleet and end up playing Global Power Britain with a bunch of short range BBs and BCs. Instead of that nonsense, the AI should provide the Global Naval Power with at least a few long range ships. Long range implies less armour, guns or speed for a given displacement. That is, less powerful ships than otherwise possible for the same money, but that’s the price for being a global power: you need long range ships to better exercise worldwide power. I think this would make the game more realistic and interesting than playing Global naval power with short range ships as it is now the case. The AI design paradigms have/are getting an overhaul.

is it possible to add rockets as an air dropped rockets, particularly for fighters, as both the US(tiny tim and HVAR) and UK(RP-3) used them in substantial quantities for anti shipping purposes. while the tiny tim could be classed as an early anti ship missile , the smaller ones were the main way for mid to late war allied fighters to attack shipping with any sort of accuracy.

Will the max tonnage be increased at all from 90k? I would like to make a 100k or 110k superheavy capital ship like US supercarriers

I would like to make a 100k or 110k superheavy capital ship like US supercarriers On this note, the current calculation assumes aircraft of a fixed size, and over 100 aircraft will give performance penalties. However, that number does not represent the actual number of aircraft of all types, but of one certain size. Larger aircraft will take up more space, without increasing the number of aircraft to service. This should speed up the handling process.

Will VTOL aircraft be included in the new game with the ability to be added to regular and helicopter carriers?

Will we be able to alter the full HUD color so that the controls aren't eye searing?

When it comes to the 3in automatic AA guns how are they being implemented. Will the fall under the secondary/tertiary category or under the AA tab?

I believe they fall under the AA guns, specifically HAA.My apologies, I used my own terminology for this when I should not have: I tend to use the term "HAA" for DP gun mounts that add to the ships AA factor. The game does not actually call these "HAA", as I was reminded. The 3" auto-loaded AA gun is represented in the game as actual (DP) gun mounts - all DP guns mounts add to your longer-range AA fire. In the RTW3 this tech is listed as: " 3 in autoloaded DP gun - Improves effectiveness of 3 in DP guns". This means the gun can be a main, secondary, or tertiary mount. Once this tech is unlocked the gun becomes significantly more effective in the AA role, and adds greatly to a ships long-range AA rating (as opposed the the LAA and MAA gun factors you can add to ships, which are not gun actual mounts).

I see... How would that be different from the current system where 3/4/5'' autoloaded DP gun tech basically enables autoloaders for 3/4/5'' guns, and these autoloaders improve the HAA rating of the gun for all calibers from 3'' to 6''?

Will 3" with the new techs end up becoming more effective without the decrease to AA power that having both 3" and 5" DP mounts currently have, since in real life the US Navy started swapping 40mm mounts for 3"/50cal mounts since the research showed they were more effective.

IIRC the 3" DP auto-firing was originally implemented in one of the RTW2 updates; Fredrik W would need to answer your question about the 3" + 5" DP mounts as I'm not sure if that was changed or not...now, some changes are certainly made in the AA process in RTW3 in order to make it a more accurate representation of that area of combat, I'm just not sure that aspect was altered.

There are some changes in RTW3 to make AA combat generate results closer to historic loss rates, so the effects of those types of guns (and others) may be altered...although certainly they are still far better than the previous models as you correctly point out.

Is there a posibility to add diffrent types of radar sets, like SS Radars, FC Radars, TT Radars, TA Radars etc.? With the same system for mounting as gun turrents to provide better or worse line of sight and diffrent survivability? And restricions on amount of targets that radar can track depending on its level?
