Hi I've made a video exploring the screenshots released by Matrix Games/Slitherine software (what an ideal partner, BTW) that hint at some of the new features of RtW3. It does involve both some speculation and quite a bit of me say 'I don't know what that's for' But very much enjoyed getting excited about the new dimensions and tweaks in the Q1 next year release. ALL Ears!
The appetite and excitement and engagement I'm seeing on my YouTube channel, and across different Discord servers, and here, of course, is a lot of fun! Can't wait to get my hands on more.

Just in case, you could also read previous announcements on the forums which could explain some stuff on the screenshots. There's also garrisoncholm's AAR.

Capacity is something like 'total, unused, used' (or something like that - note that the numbers add up).
I wonder if 'Load T' and 'Save T' are purely templates for the visual appearance of the ship?
The 'jet capable' ability is neat addition. It'd be nice to also have a 'monoplane capable' choice as well (I've long wanted to have the equivalent of Fairey Albacore equipped Escort carriers to protect my convoys).
I'm pretty impressed by the new turret 'era' - I wonder if it'll be possible to do the really big lower velocity pre-dreadnought guns (It'd be neat if we could have BL 16.25-inch Mk I 'minus 1 quality' guns in the 1890s)?
Anyway, these screenshots make me very glad about the delayed release - looking at all of the polish and quality of life improvements!

Turret era is purely aesthetic; as in RTW2, gun performance is determined by the gun caliber, gun quality, and shell research levels.

Very well done and interesting presentation. I would have liked to see these other new features on display as well: 1 - Detachment of undamaged ships and formation of a separate independent task force, as happened at the Battle of Leyte Gulf with the creation of TG 34.5. 2 - Activation of some ships present in a base close to the one where the enemy makes a coastal raid, as happens in SAI campaign. The use of both of these features should be limited and / or occasionally available.

Another useful feature would be: 3 - Indication of the degree of protection offered by a given deck thickness against bombs of a certain weight launched a) by dive bombers, b) by medium bombers, similarly to what can be done for the choice of gun caliber.

Ah, well then I do hope we get -3 and -2 quality guns for the 1890s campaign!
