I'd like to suggest an "Evasive Maneuvers" and "Evasive Maneuvers for 10 minutes" division order similar to the "Hold Fire" buttons. While active, ships will automatically set a random new heading within ±45 degrees of the ordered course each turn. It would be nice if they'd also actively try to avoid detected torpedoes.
Motivation: It's a tedious chore to manually set such evasive courses for each threatened division every turn. This drains the fun out of large short-range engagements, most prominently nighttime fleet battles. Scope: The random course adjustments should be trivial to implement. The positive and negative effects of zig-zagging are already modeled and should apply implicitly (positive: being harder to hit by torpedoes and gunfire, negative: reduced accuracy, lower effective speed towards the general course, leaving optimal firing arcs, disruption of the formation).

It's a major reason why I often get the best TD defense on my BBs and BCs. After the battle's clearly won, I stop caring about maneuvering my ships that aren't at risk of a torp taking them out and just eat them rather than continue to bother with it.

Funnily enough, if you use Admirals mode you don't have to bother with any micromanagement.
