RTW3 is now officially up on Steam...you can wish-list, but not order the game yet, but that is coming...

I think I know the answer, but you get more money when I buy from you, than from Matrix/Steam?

Hello neel ! It will be sold on Steam and on the Matrix store, however we will not be selling it on our own store; we made this decision to leverage the much greater marketing power that Matrix/Slitherine gives us, and also the wider audience that Steam brings - plus Matrix has been instrumental in getting the game ready for/setup on the Steam platform as well. Purchasing direct from Matrix will, I think, generate more revenue from each game sold since that would avoid the Steam fees/cut. I am checking right now to see (yes or no) if you purchase the game from Matrix you can register it on Steam as well - I'll get back to you on that as soon I as find out . BTW - Thanks for the support and for the great question! Edit: Yes! If you purchase from Matrix you can also get a Steam Key as well.... |

Ok, talking to Matrix I get some (good) news: "If you purchase the game through Matrix Games, then Steam doesn't take its cut and we can still offer a free Steam Key to all registered owners."
So, if you purchase via Matrix you can get both the Matrix version and a Key for Steam, and we (NWS) get a bit more compensation...so a 'win' for everyone I think.
Of course if you choose to purchase directly from Steam that is fine, we very much appreciate your support no matter where you buy from!

If we purchase a physical copy of the game through Matrix, will we still be able to redeem the key through Steam? I'm pretty sure you can get a Steam Key no matter if its the digital or the physical copy of the game you purchase on Matrix. |

Great news just spent the last 20mins looking at the screenshots. It's looking good, it's looking very good. Just one small thing, it appears you have to agree to the EULA for the game if you get it on the Steam site. Will this apply if you just buy it from Matrix?

How does purchasing and downloading from Matrix work? Is it like purchasing it from the NWS store where we can download and install the game anywhere on our system or does Matrix have its own library and update system like Steam? Thinking in terms of modding game files.

BTW, since it is on steam, is there any possibility that a workshop could be opened, like other Matrix/Slitherine games (such as CMO, Panzer Crops and so on)?

We have no plans at the moment for a workshop, but it might be something we could look at in the future. I personally am a big fan of Steam Workshop, it adds value and re-playability to games... |
