Hello folks (mostly devs and beta testers, I imagine)
This is a question I asked in the old bug thread, but I thought it might make sense to put it here as well, and gather some feedback and suggestions. Well, two questions, really:
So, from the point of unlocking the Carrier Force tech, carriers can operate in a separate force, similar to the Scout and Main forces. That's all well and good.
First question: I want to make a carrier force that includes 2-3 flattop divisions (CV and CVL). One should be the flagship division for the carrier force, tied to the Main Force; the other(s) should be daisy-chained as "core" divisions to said flagship.
For Scout Forces, I select Scout Flag for the primary division, and set the Fleet Flag as its parent division. However, Carrier divisions do not have a "Flag" option (Fleet, Scout, or otherwise). How do you set a specific division as the lead division of your CV force?
Second question: Eventually, we unlock Carrier Battle Group Concept, which, in theory, should allow us to define a single supercarrier flagship per fleet and build a fleet literally around it.
How does that work with the division editor, given that you cannot define a flattop as a flagship?

Try leaving your top division as Independent?

I did try that, actually! However, that does not associate the carrier with a specific main fleet, and it also tend to bug out, with several divisions overlapping each other.
