So I'm muddling along as France in 1903, and there's some oddities in ship design that may or may not be working as intended. I don't have main battery wing turrets researched, but I'm finding that I have wing mounting options for any gun calibers that are -2 quality, just not for those that are -1 or better. I've verified this with another save that has -2 12in guns; those get the wider array of incorrect mounting options. Ships designed with these incorrect turret placements pass checks, as well.
Further, I can make a design that passes checks with more than two main battery turrets;
It's possible that the phrasing in the manual is outdated or that this is an edge case, but I thought I'd present it anyway.

This is 100% intended behavior. The definitions in the manual are very inaccurate and shouldn't be relied upon.

I wonder if the -2 guns have less restrictions to represent the strangeness of the ironclad age? You can't upgrade them after all.

For the part of having more than 2 turret mounts, I'm glad they removed it. That finally allows designs like the Brandenburg Class. I'd rather guess, it is a mistake in the manual.
