how do i end a war by editing the save file without breaking the game, im sick of my current war with russia, i have nothing to gain and joined with an alliance with japan, i would just like to be done with this stupid war

Go into the data folder find the save slot and edit RTWGame1.BCS (or whatever slot number) Notepad++ works a bit better for this I find but notepad should be fine. Find the line UnrestLevel= for the nation you are at war with and change it to something very high like 15+ and they will collapse in revolution in a few turns.
