During battles, clicking and dragging while already zoomed in very closely can cause you to zoom in further than is normally possible. Once this happens, it's impossible to zoom back out via normal means. This also happened in the previous games, but the "zoom out x5" button would usually get you unstuck.
A workaround I've found is to zoom in even further, then press "zoom out". Sometimes this causes the zoom level to wrap around to the most distant level, at which point the zoom controls start working normally again.
