Question about fighters performing escort missions. If the escorts don't encounter enemy CAP will the fighters help suppress AA fire via strafing like they did in RtW2? I don't remember seeing anything in the manual about this and haven't noticed any log messages in my playthroughs so far. I'm also assuming that fighter escort behavior is mostly still the same as RtW2 too? That fighters can carry ordnance on escort missions but will drop all ordance at the sign of enemy CAP, but will also not use ordnance either if no CAP is encountered?
Also regarding rockets that fighters can carry, has anyone seem them in use yet? I'm curious how they perform

I've seen fighters strafe and murder AA guns, so that is still in. Can't recall the exact circumstances leading up to it, but was nice to see.
I've seen rockets used, and they seem to basically count as 5in gun hits (also ending up in the 'medium hits' counter, as there is no separate 'rockets' one), which is reasonable for HVAR-esque rockets.

The rockets seem quite good at suppressing airfields, taking out hard to hit destroyers and starting fires on carriers in my experience. They get multiple rolls per plane it seems and have a nice hit rate.

Yep. They're so good I prefer them over heavy bomb loads when my fighters fly strike missions.
