Question on Plane carry both bomb and torp

So as the year goes in game i start to have dive-bomber that can carry torp and torp bomber that can carry bomb. does this mean that a torpedo bomber can run both dive boming and torp mission? or is it only the dive bomber that can carry torp can run both mission?

Torpedo bombers are not built for the stresses involved in dive bombing, but IIRC they can glide bomb (not the same as dive bombing!) like fighters later in the game. Early on, they level bomb like heavier aircraft, with the same poor results.

Dive bombers that can carry torpedoes are capable of both missions.

From what I can tell, torpedo-carrying dive bombers essentially obsolete the torpedo bomber until you can get TBs with two torpedoes (is it possible to get a two-torpedo DB?), which IMO are the most dangerous aircraft in the game until the jet age's AA, CAP, and SAMs become too much for them.

Yes you can get 2 torps on DB. MB and patrol can as well.

My next tech development goal: A dive bomber to throw two dive-torpedoes (oxygene of course) which crash through the deck and travel the whole lenght through the innards of the target ship until they explode directly within a magazine. As seen in "Battleship"...
