Ability to add priority missions for squadrons in the air group management window. This is to give the player more flexibility when creating squadrons and allows the player to reserve aircraft for certain missions before the AI takes them for something else (CAP/Recon). It would mostly effect the first few moments of the scenario as the game will eventually have to ignore these mission priorities if it needs aircraft to fulfill certain roles (like CAP & recon). The missions would be as follows:
None - default and normal behavior
Escort (F, HJF, and LJF only) - when the game first starts looking for aircraft for CAP or recon, it will initially overlook these squadrons
CAP (F, HJF, and LJF only) - the game will pull aircraft for CAP from these squadrons first
Recon - the game will pull aircraft for recon (doctrine dependent) from these squadrons first
Strike - when the game first starts looking for aircraft for CAP or recon, it will initially overlook these squadrons
So for example I could have a carrier airgroup like (I just made up this composition):
8 DB - Scout
12 DB - Strike
14 F - CAP
12 F - Escort
20 TB - Strike
For a modern airgroup I'd have something like (this is one I'm actually using):
17 HJF - Escort
17 LJF - CAP
17 LJF - CAP
17 JA - Strike
17 JA - None
17 Special - None
Depending on your aircraft's attributes, there may be times you want LJF being put on CAP first while prop fighters continue to provide primary escorting. Or maybe your torpedo bombers have a more suitable range for recon work over your dive bombers and you want to make sure the game uses the TBs. Or maybe you're running a CVL with a small strike compliment and you want to absolutely make sure none of your strike planes get put on recon missions so you give one of the fighter squadrons a recon mission priority.
