Im in a situation where my GER was at war with Rus. When Italy joined Rus as my enemy the VP were reset with myself losing many VP and them not so much. So the precedence seems the side being joined keeps their/most points while the opposing side losses VP (as they have more enemy to worry about that are fresh).
Austria joined the war on my side. Or rather they were at war with Italy and though to merge. AFAIK I didn't see a reset message and RUS-Italy the enemy didnt lose VP.
Japan has now joined the war on the side of Rus-Italy. Once again I lose a chunk of vp, spoiling a recent major battle. Worse and really @#@(# is that I went from a massive lead to now being LESS vp than the enemy so "losing"
Its at this point I began pondering if there was on drop in the enemy VP when Austria joined me. To be fair that should be something that happens. That when someone joins a war on the player side the enemy VP go down.
Im not 100% sure but like 75% sure that it didnt happen.
Id like the DEVs to double check that as a sim it should be fair both ways. If an ally joins on the player's side the enemy VP should go down just like when the player gets a new enemy in an existing war.
