Channel bombardment target in East Africa

I'm playing France, 1890 start, no mods, highest difficulty (Admiral?) v1.00.19, time is now 1916.  

I just started a battle with Germany that was billed as a cruiser action.  When I get into it, my forces are deployed in the middle of the North Sea and it says there's a bombardment target, but the bombardment target is on the coast of East Africa.  This has happened to me 2-3 times now, so I assume it's a canned scenario that's mis-configured.  IIRC, RTW 1 or 2 used to have 0,0 somewhere in the vicinity of the Indian Ocean - I always assumed that was (0,0) on the coordinate system - this smells like the same bug.

The other weird thing about this is that the first time it happened, the Germany fleet was down by Dunkerque and attacked my coastal batteries.  I think the second time I immediately rushed down the channel and found the German fleet in the same place (near Dunkerque).  So I think there are 2-3 bugs in the scenario: that it's bombardment with the target in the wrong spot, and that the fleets are far apart.

I've attached a save file from 42 minutes into the battle.

Hello sloanjh Thanks for the report.

We do, however, need the entire save game folder to be able to debug and test the save - if you can zip up the entire save game folder & post it that would help us alot.

Sorry about that - I'll zip try to get it to you next time I run into the issue.  Note that I've already hit one or two more times since the post.  FYI the German fleet still seems to start far to the south of where France starts, but not all the way down at Dunkerque.  They're still quite a ways apart for an early game start (without air scouting) though.

Thanks! There has been a very rare but irksome issue with a few missions generating a location at the '0,0' coordinates on the map, which is where your report location appears to be.

Hi there,

I have experienced this bug as well, playing as France in wars against Germany.  It seems happens every time this scenario occurs.

Here is a copy of a recent save game with an 1890 start.  I have the Steam download of RTW3 v1.00.19

I encountered the same bug. Playing as France against Germany in v1.00.27, the bombardment target for an action in Northern Europe appeared in East Africa. Some other times the target didn't even appear at all. I'm going to attach the save game folder for the devs.
