Version 1.00.25 In this save file, I am currently shuffling some cruisers between the Mediterranean Home Area and a colony in Northeast Asia. There is also a colony in the Indian Ocean, but not in Southeast Asia. Thus, there are some ships in transit in Southeast Asia, and Vice Admirals assigned to all Areas with friendly territories. Clicking the (next) Turn button brings up a warning that there are Areas with no CO assigned. Clicking No for autism's sake, I go to the Officers Tab and right-click the only unassigned Vice Admiral, Parona, and select Reassign. That in turn brings up a window that shows all eligible Areas already having commanders. Clicking Turn, and then Yes does not assign anyone to new Area command. www.mediafire.com/file/doss1ornbb2a3nh/area_adm.zip/file

And a few turns later, the Turn Messages claim Vice Admiral Salvadori was Unassigned, but the Officers screen in the background shows that he was CO of the Northeast Asia station. imgur.com/Hpl7nOr

While this somehow looks like that fix here
- Fixed a bug which could make it impossible to assign an admiral to a home area if there are no other possessions there.
I do have similar problems - As Japan, sent some ships to south pacific to bother germany, dont have any own possessions there and no ally with any, get the "you have areas without commanders" but when i try to assign a Taisho there it tells me "you have no possessions there". And clicking Yes on the popup to auto-assign just quiets the thing down for a turn, no taisho is created or assigned, problem repeats next turn.
