Duplicate names are occurring in DD. Perhaps the Z series and other auto-naming vessels are the target; the fact that the PC's OS is Asian may have something to do with it.

also seems to break airbases in areas with special characters, they disappear after reloading the game

We will be implementing an option to alter names with special characters to remove those characters...should arrive in a near-future beta for testing.

The conversion of German characters proved a little more complicated than expected, but we are working on it. Sorry for that, and thanks for the report.
