I tried the beta test 1.00.35 feature automatic angled deck description The results are quite favorable, but there are areas of concern. 1. The flight deck will be slightly shorter. 2.The added catapult protrudes from the flight deck. 3. light carrier may be too big, although it is acceptable for me.
This condition may be only on my carrier. What about others?

There are actually only 3 carrier drawings used for the auto-angled deck conversions. When you convert a ship, your ship's characteristics are carried forward into the new design (weapons, armor, aircraft, etc.) but the drawing of the angled carrier is less flexible and can only be increased or decreased in size based on the size of the carrier you are converting. However, after the conversion is completed you can make any modifications to the visual elements that you wish.
In particular, the catapult is a fixed-size element (objects such as boats, elevators and catapults always remain the same size even when the ship drawing is reduced in size), so when the carrier drawing is shrunk down to the size of some smaller smaller carriers the catapults will sometimes be a bit too large for the ship. The catapult objects are meant to represent the long steam catapults that were typical of this period, but they are only a visual artifact and they do not impact the functioning of the catapults in the game. If the catapult objects prove visually objectionable you can remove them entirely or you can move them back so they visually align with the forward edge of the deck. You will find the catapult objects listed in the visuals list on the Graphics tab. Note that the small triangular piece at the forward end of the catapult represents the bridle catcher and is meant to protrude beyond the edge of the flight deck.

I thought the deck was shortened and the catapult was sticking out. Thanks for the explanation.
