I've been spending time playing as the British with the Germans being my next interest when I realize "Hey, the Brits and Germans have named some of their capital ships after admirals, so why don't I honor my admirals by naming ships after them?". As such I'd go to the officers tab to see whom I should honor only to realize that the officers don't have a history tab similar to the ships history. Unless I comb through a number of ships' history I don't know what ships each officer commanded. I don't even get to see what divisions my rear admirals have overseen. Admirals barely exist outside of wartime with fleet admirals may as well not existing at all. The only thing to differentiate one admiral from another is their name, the number of battles they participated (which doesn't get more detailed than that), ability, special abilities, status and command/fate.
To compose my thoughts, there should be an officer's history tab similar to the ship history button. The tab should list what ships a commander/captain has commanded and what battles they have participated in at the bare minimum. Rear admirals should have whatever divisions they have overseen (if any) shown also. I'd also want the officer history tab to list whatever...shenanigans they've been through. This means reminding the player that an officer with speed enthusiasm had at one point damaged a ships engines, or a sportsman having beaten an army commander in a game of golf or a football game, or a music lover having entertained a group of passing politicians with an orchestra.

Seconded. I’ve been doing this by hand in a spreadsheet, which takes forever but is worth it for the added satisfaction of following individual officers’ careers. I’d love to have a less time consuming way to keep up with their history.
