One thing I would like to see added is some mechanism for trading, getting and giving, colonies during peace time.
Perhaps limit player to one attempt per turn to avoid spamming for a good die roll.
Trade could be for: = Demand (raising tensions with the target a lot and raising tensions with other nations) = Money (a big chunk of money swaps hands) = Gift (improving relations) = Alliance offering colony (Player offers a colony if they will join) = Alliance requesting colony (Player says they need a colony to join an alliance)
Player might be the target of an AI "offer" as well
