As can be seen the 6" ammunition supply goes from costing 9 tons for 5 rounds, to 16 tons for 5 rounds. This seems extremely heavy considering a single round + propellant should at most be 300 kg therefor i am posting this in the bug report section, paying over 3 tons per round is very expensive tonnage wise, and for ships firing alot (5" CL or DD, or 6" CL) makes their ammo weight alot If this is intended and not a bug i will make a suggestion for change instead and delete current thread Attachments:

Quick nit-pick - it's 5 rounds per gun, so with 15 guns that's a total of 75 rounds.
150rpg*15guns = 2,250 rounds total, at 268t that's 119kg per round.
155rpg*15guns = 2,325 rounds total, at 277t that's a little heavier but still close enough to 119kg to make no practical difference.
160rpg*15guns = 2,400 rounds total, at 293t total that becomes 122kg per round.
Yes, they are heavier - but there are certain breakpoints where the weight of ammunition increases to prevent players from excessively loading up on ammunition in order to drain the enemy's ammunition before closing in to annihilate them.

I believe this was intentionally changed in a past update. You see,the space for ammunition storage is limited, and larger spaces take up more hull space, increasing tonnage non-linearly.

Makes sense if real life ships werent sometimes bringing far more ammunition The fletchers had 500 rounds per gun late war for example. vast majority of ships had 150 rounds, or more
