Hey guys,
Has anybody made a study of the relative effectiveness of LAA, MAA, and HAA, and the change in relative effectiveness over time?
Please do not reply to tell me that, "MAA starts out less effective but becomes more effective over time," or "LAA and MAA defend the ship, whereas HAA defends other ships." I know this. The questions are, 'how effective, and how much more effective?'

HAA, MAA, and LAA are on a sliding scale of Shoots down more plans to makes planes hit less (dispersion)
HAA is good at killing aircraft, less effective at dispersing them, DPAA guns run 100% HE, except for 6 inch DPAA which run 10% AP
MAA is fairly ineffective until the 40s, but generally kills more plans than LAA, but less dispersion
LAA is very good at making enemy planes miss, do not think of Orlikon unpowered single mounts when you think of LAA, the game us using quad "Thunderbolt" mountings which have 4 Orlikons on a powered mount. These are very effective.

The questions are, 'how effective, and how much more effective?' i have, but roughly LAA is better for disruption, that is making attacks miss, during my testing with fleet excercises, ships that only had LAA survived more than ships that only had MAA, despite MAA shooting down more from early 30s late 20s This is true until late 30s, early 40s where MAA starts doing significantly better. Both have diminishing returns, so above 40 guns having some of the other type is probably a good idea

I do recall also that:
HAA affects planes at long ranges so you get supportive fire from other ships, can destroy and affect planes prior to bombs...maybe missiles?
MAA Affect is figured before bomb and torpedo release. Not sure on missiles. Affects will disrupt aim of the plane too.
LAA Affect is applied after weapon release of bombs and torpedoes. May still throw off pilot's aim.
