I am sure this has been suggested elsewhere before, but in the event that it hasn't:
If possible, I'd appreciate getting each start date getting their own .nXX file extension. As is, right now both the 1890 and 1900 starts read the .n00 file, and both 1920 and 1935 read .n20 - which makes it a hassle for both modders and mod users to make nation mods in all four start dates to keep track of which otherwise identically named .n00 file is for 1890 or 1900 (and similar for 1920 and 1935).
It seems like it should be fairly straightforward to get the 1890 and 1935 start dates to read a new .nXX extension, though I know things in programming aren't always as simple as they seem... especially dealing with something that's as built up on legacy code as RTW. It'd be nice to know if this is something that's a possibility, though, or if it is somehow too difficult to implement to really be feasible.
Cross posting this here and on the Matrix forum as well.
Thanks!
