I've been meaning to ask this question for a while but I always got distracted for one reason or the other. In the ResearchAreas.DAT file under Submarines, the Internal Torpedo Storage tech is listed with a date of 1911. The next tech on the list, Medium Submarines has a listed date of 1910. They are the only two techs I've seen where the dates aren't listed in increasing order so I wanted to ask if that was as intended, or if the techs are listed as reversed and Medium Subs should come before (and therefore be researched before) Internal Torp Storage, or if, as I'm guessing most likely, the date listed for Medium Subs is a typo and it should actually be 1911 or 1912? Not a big deal, I was mostly curious. I've actually modified my own file to make Medium Subs a 1911 tech. But if that isn't correct I'll fix it to whatever it is supposed to be.

The lines should probably have been switched, so yes it is a sort of typo, but it will make no difference.

Alright I'll leave it the way I have it now and if it gets changed in an update I'll leave it alone. Makes sense for internal stowage to be invented before medium range subs anyway plus the tech ID numbers (1009, 1010) are in the right order. Thanks for the reply.

This is kind of related, but did you notice that although there are 20 levels of Fire Control, when you research them all the research menu just stays at 19? See crudely numbered jpg: This probably has no effect in-game, but it was just something I noticed when I went to 1950.

It's not showing Advanced Director as the last tech researched on the base scrren either. But you could install them on ships at that point in the game?

Yep, no problem there.
