It certainly looks pretty. I hope they pull it off. I've got room on my computer for another dreadnought game or two (three now that I went back and bought SAI. Still need to actually install it though.)

Nice pictures.
However I look at RTW something like Master of Orion. There is almost nothing to add and nothing to take away.
Graphics are nice, but just add on on whole picture.

Ooh, that looks nice. Unfortunately, it does not seem that it will have the same scale as RtW.

Both can coexist nicely in this uncrowded market. I do think their comments on RTW's learning curve are a little unfounded. Maybe I'm in my own bubble of fandumb however. The beauty of RTW is the experimentation.

Both can coexist nicely in this uncrowded market. I do think their comments on RTW's learning curve are a little unfounded. Maybe I'm in my own bubble of fandumb however. The beauty of RTW is the experimentation. I agree with you, I learnt the basis very quickly. Off course, as you learn basis you start ask questions but it is the beauty you need to find the answers and that answers are not easily accessible. Some of them is just learning through the game experimenting with design finding that there are more ways and each has own advantages and disadvantages. There are questions you need to dig in, find them in forum or do more experiment yourself however the game is about all these thing and I am happy there not clear from the beginning. After a lot of games I am still able to find different strategies that works and this is the beauty. Another beauty is seeing how AI is able to react and right just now I am playing UK with strategy of a lot of medium cruisers (3,500-4,000) and I can see how AI adapt to them and it is quite interesting. This is what I love on this game, you experiment, the basic design is nice, solid and micromanagement is only in case of UK on very large fleet else it is negligible, main point is big picture and still in this big picture your designs is important. And most beautiful is how AI is adapting to you. Of course you can beat AI it is not chess however the difference between Human and AI is very low.
