Now that the 1.2 patch lets custom nations be rivals, I thought I'd throw together a quick Alt-History version of the United States that features the Confederation and Spain. This is a quick and dirty job, but was pretty easy. The lack of nations sharing a home region with the US makes it pretty quick. I didn't have to create a ton of home area scenarios, in fact I just simply copied the CSA's WarInfo Scenarios vs the USA and flipped the sides around. Hopefully it works just fine! Any strange problems come up, please, let me know. I thought about adjusting the USA's stats/traits a bit, but decided not to. I figure Spain is worth including since it'd make more sense than one of the Mediterranean powers, and it has more overseas/pacific interests than Russia. Due to the way the game assigns possessions it seems the CSA "beat" the Spanish in some theoretical Spanish-Confederate War, as the game assigns the Caribbean possessions (which both nations claim in their data files) to the CSA instead of Spain. Special Thanks to CCIP for his USA Names list. Download Link

In such a scenario either puerto rico is still in spanish hands, or it has reverted to confederate control . Having it neutral doesn't make much sense. I like that you let the pacific posessions untouched, given that the CSA in this scenario obviously has no involvement in the pacific ocean at all so in a what-if CSA-spanish war they'd mostly have been left alone. (I'm spanish, btw )

Puerto Rico is CSA controlled, its mostly covered up on that screenshot by the Virgin Islands. Here is a closer-up screenshot of the Caribbean at the start of the scenario. Honestly I wasn't sure what to do with the Caribbean in this setup. More specifically, what WOULD happen, since both Spain and the CSA claim Cuba and Puerto Rico in their Nation.Nat files. I basically just let the game decide, it ruled in favor of CSA, and I said "Sure, why not? Makes sense enough".
