May I ask, who is the artist responsible for the in-game paintings?
Also, is there any information regarding the photographs that appear in the notification boxes?

Thanks. Saw his page on deviantart.
Seems to be 30% historical works and 70% dark surrealist stuff that I could have done without seeing.
Where did the photographs come from?

The original artwork was commissioned from M. Nolte (a rather talented artist in my own opinion) for use with RTW. The photos used in RTW originate from various historic sources from prior to ~ 1927, and of course were vetted for copyright purposes under US law. Any particular photo or artwork you are interested in? Do you know of any other artist(s) that would be a good fit for our potential follow-up game?

I can't talk about the follow-up game to RTW....not yet anyway, my apologies
The 'submarine.jpg' is of the German U9 boat (from one published in a British article right after the war). The second pic ('Subsunk.jpg') is of two German U-boats (one was UB 86, not sure of the other) that were washed up on the shoreline (as they were being taken to be broken up) near the city of Falmouth in the UK in early 1921 (from a British newspaper at the time).

The U-9 picture interested me because it appeared as if there was a large smokestack on the aft hull. I had wondered if it were one of those external combustion steam-propelled submarine designs. Guess not.

Follow up game? Prepare the hypetrain and the unsubstantiated promises. Looking forward to whatever might be come.

I'm betting 20$ its WW2 based... I raise you Cold War! Oooh, that COULD be cool... I mean, imagine packing ships with CIWS and shooting EVERYTHING down... Then you bring in an Iowa, and watch it tank ******* everything short of a P-700.

No way. This game system would be perfect for simulating hypothetical Naval strategy and operations during the latter half of the 19th century.
PS, you know what the CO of the IOWA does when his ship gets hit by a P700? He sends two sailors out on deck... one with a broom and a dustpan, the other with a brush and a can of gray paint.

JD Nope. P-700 has a larger warhead with 4-5 inches of steel around it. Its a bigger fritzX with a rocket strapped to it. There is no armour ever fitted to the deck of a ship which can stop such a missile.

Mmm... Yes and no. Whether it penetrates into the citadel would really depend on where it hits. But it's largely irrelevant; one of those things hitting anything at all is a mission kill for certain. Sinking things is a bonus.

Sinking things is a bonus. Pretty much...If it hits a magazine the ship explodes, if not, its basically dead anyway, considering the things are fired in salvos of 8 (IIRC).
