This is just a quick 'Thank You' to everyone that takes the time to report issues or other oddities they may observe with RTW...while we obviously can't comment on each individual posting due to time restraints, we certainly do look this thread over very carefully on a regular basis and take notes about what you have reported.
Thanks again everyone!

I just uploaded 1.34B1 - found a bug. When at war and you get the choice of ' a few more months on on extreme or make peace at the other - if you pick continue the war, a few more moths - it defaults to accepting the peace conference. You apparently cannot continue to total victory. I haven't tried picking the peace route to see if they are just backwards. Too much of a war monger Hopefully that makes sense, if not I can try to get more details. it doesn't default to peace, but it has such chance you just got unlucky

So the developers added a relatively small percentage chance in one of the updates that your Head of State will disregard your recommendation (remembering that your position is the Chief of the Navy so there is always someone you technically answer to in-game) and sign an armistice with the enemy anyway. The thing is you can get five or more of these "peace offer" events in a war so the chances of getting through to absolute victory are much less even when the individual chance of any one check is small. It can be frustrating but I personally think the game is better this way having played the game before and after that update.

Makes sense, thanks! I guess I need to overthrow the government to be the war monger and take over the world now. It is more realistic, I agree.

Although if you really want to you can just save-scum and re-do the turn. Just remember to save every time you go to hit the "turn" button

Is this a bug or my wrong math? ^_^ My (Spain) point s for damage to enemy ships: 47609 Points for survivors picked up: 86 Bonus for 1 surviving merchant: 200 47609+86+200=47895 (OK!) (bug note 1: VP should be reduced by 20%, they are not reduced) My (Italy) enemy point s for damage to enemy ships: 43565 Points for survivors picked up: 775 Bonus for sinking 2 TR: 3500 43565+775+3500=47840 (NOK!!!) So it shows 49590 total points, more than my 47895 points, and assign the major victory to Italy? Why? It shoud be Spain 47895 vs Italy 47840 points. If I double check Italy's points 49590-43565-775=5250 they get a 1,5 multiplier bonus for Sinking 2 TR, 3500*1,5=5250

I've just discovered that in 1.34b1, building a 22kn ship with 15" triple turrets in an AB configuration results in the ship being classified as a pre-dreadnought! (Up till now, I'd mostly been using the AB configuration for BCs, but I was building a budget battleship).

I've just found something out about the NWS installer: It seems to look for the serial number in the clipboard, and only in the clipboard, when it gets to that stage. Accordingly, if a user types the serial in rather than copying it to the clipboard (as in my case, where my e-mail client is outside the VM I run Windows in), the "next" button never becomes clickable. Every time I've installed or upgraded RTW, I've had trouble, and gotten around it but forgotten how. Installing SAI tonight, I figured out what's actually going on. Could the installer be fixed to either accept a typed serial, or else provide clearer instructions (to the effect that the serial *must* be pasted)?

The manual does say that BB's must have at least 3 main gun turrets but I believe an exception exists for 2 x quad turrets but not 2 x triples. I've never built one of the Dunkerque/Richelieu types but I'm pretty sure I remember that being discussed on the forum.

Well, it makes sense for 2x3 AY to be classified as a predreadnought, though I'm not aware of any actual predreadnoughts with that configuration (only the Panzerschiffe, which looked a lot like predreadnoughts but for their era were more of slow heavy cruisers). It's just a bit weird for 2x3 AB to be classified that way, given that I'm not aware of anything even slightly resembling a predreadnought that used superfiring turrets.

Looking at the description for Pre-dreadnoughts in the manual it says that the max speed for B's is 20 knots so technically your design didn't meet that requirement either. So not B and not BB. B½? Looking back, you were probably right in the first place and the game should probably call your design a BB due to the speed and superfiring turrets.

It's been a while since I've read the manual, but experience indicates that the speed limit of 20 kt for pre-dreads is not enforced by the game. I've built plenty of pre-dreads with speeds up to 22 kt. Assuming the manual indicates the developers' true intentions, this would qualify as a bug. Of course, we know there are other instances in which the manual differs from what actually happens in the game. It's difficult to know, in some of these cases, whether what the manual says is supposed to happen or if the manual has just not been updated to reflect intentional changes in the code. I'll let Fredrik decide whether this one is a bug.

You should probably mention your OS at least, because that problem doesn't exist for all configurations. Case in point, my initial RtW install and many patches had the serial manually typed on a Win10 machine with no difficulties.
