Greetings everybody.
I've just bought the game last month and I've been having a lot of fun. I'm glad they introduced the kit for us to design teh ships visualy. Don't get me wrong, I always choose content over looks, but a little eye candy goes a long way. And so I've taken a few time to design some diferent paint schemes, as well as some extras for the ships graphics, and of couse, now Im sharing them with anyone that might be interested. (hopefully people will enjoy it).
So here it goes: There are four sets of ships parts:
Set1 is the original one, plus some extra parts.
Set2 is the Victorian paint scheme: black hull, white upperworks and yellow funnels.
Set3 is the tropical station paint scheme: white hull, buff (yellow) upperworks and funnels.
Set4 is the WW1 german light grey paint scheme, and includes black turret tops on the german turrets (just the germans, not the other turrets).
The extras included in the original and repeated in the other sets include, some extra cranes, flying bridges, plow bows, clipper bows and pronounced ram bows (can only be used against the default background, otherwise it will not look good), higher fore castle, funnel tops (for extra height), and larger funnel bases.
All the above are added to the accessories count, except the cranes (under masts) and the funnel bases, that had to be included as decks, so the program can place them under the hull.
There is also an extra folder, titled "Accessories" to be kept in the same folder as the sets. This has other accessories you migth or not use which include:
seven different anchor types, bow crests (small and large), different boats, funnel cap, heavy barbetes (I'll explain this one below, with the examples), flags and red funnels, which are supposed to be placed above the normal funnel, if you're looking for that original WW1 german paint scheme (yes, they painted the aft funnel red, go figure!) These funnels are also listed as decks, for the reasons above.
Any here's the link to media fire: www.mediafire.com/file/df744w5zav4fkfa/ShipParts+sets+1+to+13.rar
I hope this is enough, it's been a while since I've last used it.
I'll add examples next, so people can see how it looks and if they like it or not.
