Fredrik has fixed some issues in RTW he discovered while working on the RTW2 codeset --the below list shows what has been changed/fixed in the RTW v1.34 beta (which has now been posted):
FIXES FOR v1.34b1:
* Sea battles in areas where land combat is ongoing will now affect the chances of winning or losing the land battle. * Mothballed ships will no longer be sunk by mines. * Increased AI anti submarine efforts if the player has a large number of submarines. * Raised the chance of an anti-playerpact if the player nation is very aggressive. * The AI will now select among national build templates for CL and DD. * Turret hits and jams will now have the turret designator shown in the ship log file. * Fixed a bug where the AI would in some situations favour the Gangut template for battleships. * Fixed a bug that let the AI cheat with double gun mounts on DD when not yet developed. * Fixed a bug where CL could have more than two mounts with 8 in guns.

just tried to build a CL i'v built sucessfully pre-patch if i have any sized turret in the forward 1 and 2 position it gives me an illegal ship configuration error Attachment Deleted

Seems to only effect guns over 7" which seems related to this patch note:
Fixed a bug where CL could have more than two mounts with 8 in guns.

Can I ask a small change? Please change the "strenght bars" button to make it dual, absolute strenght and regional strenght. Now it is only absolute strenght, I feel the need to have a regional strenght to improve my understanding on the regional power balance. To make an example 2 CA for Italy in indian ocean vs 1 CL for UK at moment don't show a big difference in strenght bars height, adding a regional strenght bar I could quickly see how is the situation.

Not related, but does the Protected Cruiser armor config even benefit from BE and DE? I believe the answer is Yes, although I don't usually have much tonnage available to put there in my designs. My understanding is in the Protected Cruiser Armor scheme, the 'Belt' value in the ship designer represents the sloping portion of the armored deck and the 'Deck' value represents the horizontal portion of the deck and I think the general rule is they cover the area roughly from the forward turret to the rear turret including the machinery spaces but they don't include areas like steering gear and boiler exhaust uptakes. 'BE' and 'DE' should represent the sloping and horizontal portions respectively of the armored deck forward and aft of the main turrets. So they protect (if you can afford the weight to put armor there) against bow hits more likely to cause progressive flooding and stern hits that could damage steering gear. I don't know if BE provides splinter protection for the boiler exhaust trunks in a Protected Cruiser scheme like it does for the Sloping Deck and 'Flat Deck on top of Belt' schemes.

Have the devs looked into reining in the AI sub spam of 1.33?
Atm I almost feel like going back to playing older versions because of it.

Have the devs looked into reining in the AI sub spam of 1.33? Atm I almost feel like going back to playing older versions because of it. It's easily manageable if you build enough escorts. You just need to do more than the bare minimum on ASW/CP. If I have 2-3x the ASW/CP requirements, I'll be sinking 6-10 enemy submarines a month late game (and escorts are cheap as chips).
