My first game, between one thing and the other, kept me busy all weekend and into the wee hours of the night. Completely insane (3 vs 2 war, poking convoys at nighttime with radar, airstrikes), and I loved every year of it. Here's to hoping to see what other surprises you guys will spring at us.

One very small suggestion: RtW1 allowed you to build ships to a refit design instead of a baseline, any chance of seeing that one back? It's not terribly important, but I had a 1100t class of KE that saw constant improvements, so by the end of the game new ships had to go through three refits to match the older KEs of the same class currently in service.

They do leave a message... in the end of turn messages like RtW1's minesweepers did, so if you let them go obsolete...

I think it might depend on the gun calibre? I had that show up with... I think 8'' of armour? The thing was those eight inches were going to protect... 4'' guns.

Yeah, standard heavy cruisers who get unlucky go down really well. On the other hand, my first game of RtW2 showed me that sometimes, you get shoved with something that isn't a battlecruiser... and then you have to face a heavy cruiser yourself. Anything that doesn't have the plating to resist 8-inch and above guns is basically asking to get dead really fast, unless you have radar and manage to get a good solution before the AI can get its sights on you. I've walked around the problem a bit by abusing the USA's stupidly abundant resource growth, and fielded a 30k ton design made just for punching those guys around (7'' of belt and 5'' deck armour, quad turrets, AoN, the works). Of course, it was as expensive as all heck, but on the other hand, anything under 10'' didn't scare it too much. Attachments:

My last BC class was around 45k tons. While planes are very good to put the hurt on things, I reckon using a force of BC really helps to soften your targets up for the airstrike, or vice-versa, by finishing off what the airstrike left still floating.
While I don't recommend you to get to that size unless you're playing the USA (I had... what, 6 inches of deck armour?), having a small force of decent BCs can really be a help in equalizing things until carriers can come into play or if they can't launch planes at all.

I think it might be them saying your plane is fragile... planes can have those modifiers as well, I think.

Same. Portugal, Opera, both through the paypal wallet and the debit card, and both with VPN on and off. No luck so far, guess I'll have to email...

If not on the first day, then pretty close to it, as I'll be working and might not be around when it comes out. DRM is... a bit annoying, but not a dealbreaker. At least it doesn't sap resources just because the game is open.

Could you pin this so that this doesn't get lost among the threads, even for those who only buy the game at a later date, please?

Well, take your time to make sure it comes out right. Wouldn't terribly mind if it came around March 30th, though.

There's always any future updates, hopefully. But yeah, at least a map overview and an almanac link during peace negotiation events would be great.
