It would be nice if You'd make turrets, barbettes and armored gunhouses on turrets available - many ships of such design were still around in time for the 1st war in RtW [even some broadside ironclads could've been mobilized for a truly big war in 1904-05!], and it would add some historical flair to be able to include them in the legacy fleet.
Oh, and allowing for up to -3 (maybe even -4?) gun quality to simulate the older muzzle-loaded guns? [Currently, gun quality of "-3" is deemed illegal by the Ship Designer, IIRC] - and with that, maybe reduce the RoF penalty increments from 20% to 10% to allow some fine-tuning in the .XYd files?

It would be nice to have a general "avoid night action" checkbox for your fleet if you dislike risking your ships in such actions, and have it reduce the chance of getting night fleet battles or cruiser actions by some 50-70%.

I prefer hexed.it - no downloads, no new window - just an additonal tab!
And I'd like to thank you again, elouda - it works like a charm!

Thanks a lot, elouda! Can't wait to try the edit out! Regarding the ship parts, to be fair, if I could locate them, I'm fairly sure I could work around it.

Hello,
first of all, I've got to say: I'm in love with this game from the very day I bought it!
However, I would like to make some changes to make it a more enjoyable experience (for myself, ofcourse).
For example, I'd like to increase the budget multiplier for the "Very Large" fleet size setting to a point which would allow for more-or-less historical budgets with some fiddling. I'd also like to reduce the construction cost of ships, to circumvent the hard limit of 2,100,000,000 maximum yearly budget (as a meager 472,5 million 1900 Goldmarks isn't exactly right for British or American budgets of the late "teens") .
From what I've gathered so far, atleast the 1st modification can be done with a hex-editor. However, I can not for the life of me figure out which hexes I'd have to change - there are literally hundreds of hex-pairs which could potentially carry information like 2,5, 3,5 or 1,5 - does anyone know the address-line of the hex-pair which I'd have to change?
And obviously, I'd also be extraordinarily grateful if someone could point me to the address for the cost calculation of specific ship parts.
Thanks in advance and kind regards,
dimovski.
