OPEN BETA 1.10 B7 for Rule the Waves (RtW):
A new open beta has been posted for Rule the Waves v1.10 (beta 7) to the 'Info and Downloads' thread for RtW. Anyone who owns RtW can download and install the patch - however please be advised that your RtW serial number will be required in order to install the update.
This patch fixes bugs reported for the previous public beta and has some limited interface improvements according to user requests and feedback.
* Capped ship displacement at 52000 and made sure it is working as intended with speed/Hp calculations. * Fixed counting error in almanac. * Fixed opening of player designed ships in ship designer. * Switched build ship and build sub buttons. * Fixed the Narrow belt bug in ship designer. * The AI will now not build destroyers with secondaries in casemates. * Ships under construction will no longer be mined. * BC will now take part in fleet battles even if no BB present. * Prestige loss for finances in the red will not happen until 2 months after a war has ended. * The scrap value of a ship will now never be negative. * Bearings overheated etc are now treated as other important messages, i.e. subject to preferences choice if shown or not. * Added option for no borders on map. * Fixed missing message in designer about number of tubes in non-centreline torpedo mounts. * Made sure coastal installations never sink from flooding (could happen in some rare instances). * Added multi-select scrapping of several submarines. * Added multi-select rebuild of several ships. * Fixed bug when all merchants in a convoy were sunk. * Fund deduction for base expansion is now shown immediately. * Treaty time info removed when war starts.
I would ask that you post any bugs you discover for this particular release (beta 7) on this thread so we can keep them all in a single location. Please keep posts to only those things that appear to be bugs or not working.
Your general comments and suggestions are appreciated, but please post them in the suggestions thread! This thread is for beta 7 bug reports ONLY!

When using the move ships interface I can't see the ships list on the left. I can blind select them, though, and discard the ships I don't want to transfer as a workaround.

Where can I find my RTW serial number?

Mariandavid, The serial number should have been emailed to you sometime after you purchased the game - please allow up to 24 hours after purchase of the game to receive the email as the process is not automated and is sent manually by Chris Dean from the NWS store.

I'm not sure if this is WAD... but in my game as CSA a mothballed B was torpedoed... I guess I'll scrap it now LOL.
This game was started under RC 1.06 if that makes a difference. (Saved game Attachment Deleted)

Ok I ordered the CD and it is coming. But now the game is updated. When I get the CD and install how hard will it be to update the game?

Ok I ordered the CD and it is coming. But now the game is updated. When I get the CD and install how hard will it be to update the game? Pretty simple...just download the latest installer, make sure you have your serial number available, and install the update. Unlike for some of our previous games, the latest update for Rule the Waves will patch any previous version of the game to the latest version, no 'incremental' patching will be needed. Thanks!

Thanks. Not sure this needs to be changed though. A mothballed ship could have been temporarily activated for yearly fleet exercises.

I think I`m seeing the same thing on the ship transfer screen ?? Not sure I understand the problem. Everything that is intended to be visible is visible in the screenshot. The list on the left is all ships in the area you are moving ships from. Select one or more ships and press right arrow to move them to the right. The list on the right are the ships given movement orders to the destination area selected on top.

BTW Big Thanks for the ability to stop the " ships bearings overheating " messages.

If an interface is hard to understand, it's the developer who should have done it better. I'll add some explanatory text.

On my laptop the buttons are all messed up and event text is either covered my pictures or outside the frame. Playing on 1920x1080. Tried resizing screen, etc but buttons stay like that. Thanks!

Edit: Another question: Was this OK in 1.0 but has changed in 1.1 beta?
