September 1919
Sadly we lost the BCs Furious and Tiger in a battle against 2 enemy BCs. It appears our early successes made us overconfident.
The PM asked my advice on whether we should smuggle the revolutionary agitator Eugene Debs into the USA via Mexico. I thought this was a good idea, as our intelligence reports they are having serious problems with food shortages and unrest.
We have invaded Panama. This is a strategic location because of the canal there, so it's surprising the US didn't try to resist our invasion. Maybe they have run out of ships. Our intelligence suggest they have 5 BB/BC remaining (and another interned in a neutral port).

March 1920
As the Dominant-class battleships reach completion, we have prepared a new design, the St George, which is based on them but with a 14" gun of high velocity. The smaller gun allows us to increase the belt armour thickness from 14.5 to 15.5 inches.

October 1922
Hong Kong has rebelled and become independent. Good. If they are too stupid to see the benefits of British rule, they don't deserve to be part of our glorious empire.

January 1923
Italy is becoming hostile towards us. So we are making a highly publicised redeployment of 5 battleships into the med: the Invincible, Indomitable, Dominant. Dominion and Defiant.

February 1923
Hong Kong has installed a new pro-Japanese government. Maybe we need to rethink our alliance with them?

April 1923 -- time for some cruisers
The Empire class light cruisers are general purpose; equally good for colonial work, chasing down enemy raiders (with their high speed and aircraft) being a raider themselves, and destroying destroyers. Their main armament of 6x6" guns is placed on the centerline for broadside fire.

July 1923 -- trouble in Germany
There's been a coup in Germany. The new leader is an Austrian guy with a silly moustache who gesticulates a lot. He seems to be an Anglophile however, so there's some hope for him.
Germany has 11 battlecruisers, including the Hindenburg with 8x17" guns. We should either ally with them, or decisively defeat them.

June 1923 -- better destroyers
Our new destroyer class, the Granite, is the first with director firing and a broadside of 4x5" guns. It also has AA guns, another first. The speed is 34 knots, making it faster than our rivals.

October 1923 -- the threat from America
America has taken over Cuba, threatening our position in the Carribean. Worse, they are building battlecruisers with 8x17" guns.
