I suspect you may have a problem with your ship cloning device! How many Commodante Fioelli ships do you have now? Just lost 5 DDs & 1 CL “Commodante Fiorelli” ships…

Was having a nice lovely 1890's USA campaign to try and test a no aircraft mod that started off pretty great with a decade long alliance with Great Britain that made 3 wars against Spain, Germany, and France pretty easy pickings. I managed to snag a lot of Pacific and Caribbean colonies while England was perpetually blockading them in Northern Europe. Throughout those 3 wars I only lost a single battleship in a pretty spectacular way.
Opening salvo during a fleet engagement, I immediately noped outta there even though I had more ships as that's just bad juju
But things turned for the worst after my alliance ended with Great Britain and I was ramping up for a second war against France, right when I was on the cusp of war my former ally signed a treaty with my enemy. I immediately started back peddling trying to reduce tensions but it was pretty much inevitable. I got hopeful when Russia and Italy started a war the GB about 8 months before war eventually broke out between me and France. The first year of the war went alright with just France, I managed to take a couple more SE Asia colonies with no significant fleet engagements and losses on either side, and my first batches of medium range submarines were launching and wreaking havoc on french merchants in conjuction with my cruiser squadrons based in Iceland. The GB v IT/RU war was of course lack luster because AI wars are practically meaningless. Things turned for the worse when GB finally turned on me and decide to send there entire navy into the Caribbean to invade Cuba while the majority of mine was still in the pacific with a small defensive force on the NA East Coast. The first major loss the total destruction of my 5th battle squadron of semi-dreadnoughts in the south Pacific by France, they were left behind to wrap up an invasion but France rallied their entire battlefleet to stop it only a month after the British invasion of Cuba. I managed to hold the line pretty well as Italy went to war with France which holed them up in the mediterrean, however I couldn't maintain a pacific campaign and recalled the entire navy to the Caribbean to fight my former ally. I lost a couple of 1st generation Dreadnoughts but overall the engagements were pretty even. My subs and Raiders were doing wonders, sinking dozens of merchants giving many messages about the hardships in England and France, but I was suffering too with intermittent blockades by the significantly larger British navy bouncing between Northern Europe, the Caribbean, and N American East Coast. After a couple of losing engagements after sending a few squadrons away to stop french invasions, the US collapsed and had to sue for peace. It was quite frustrating as I was getting hardship messages of France and England every turn where mine where every few turns but a french revolutionary collapsed fleet morale.
The aftermath was brutal losing several territories and the always wonderful cheaty AI BS of them seizing my entire 14in armed super-dreadnought squadron. 8 brand new top of the line ships, half of them launched during the war.
Surprisingly though, I did not get a government change. I'm debating on whether I want to continue this campaign, it wouldn't be too difficult as even post war I have 15ish% more budget than Britain and I already have 8x 15in armed ships in the dockyards. If I do I will probably edit the government type so any and all please vote on whether I go Communist or Fascist.

This CV withstood an ignition of aviation fuel and two explosions.

Well.. the USA is a "revolutionary" government this whole time. Just ask the Minutemen and Paul Revere

This CV withstood an ignition of aviation fuel and two explosions. Well, obviously when they beat the Soviet Union in WW2 they captured the supplies of Stalinium. They renamed it to Hitlerium, though, naturally.

Look on the bright side: I see on the log that you have 2 carriers in this battle. At least they aren't here.

David vs Goliath! The 4 inch escort cruiser Amsterdam slugging it out with none other than the Battle Cruiser Scharnhorst in a dead stop slug fest. how did this come to be? The early 4in AA is efficient leading to making this 4 in CL design to provide HAA to major units. In this horrendously large and lengthy battle all my BB and BC are waddling wounded away. Many enemy BC BB already sunk. We wounded the Scharnhorst slowed to a crawl. My BB Delaware rolled up. To my honest surprise the Shcarnhost slammed 14in hits into Delaware creating possible fatal flooding. Brave Amsterdam charged in but took a rudder hit. To keep the full broadside going I brought Amsterdam to speed 0 next to the mangled Scharnhorst. For some time they have been thumping each. The 6,600 ton 4 in CL vs the 40,400 ton 14 in BC. Looks like its out of 14 inch ammo. The return fire from Scharnhorst is 3 inch... which the CL can ... mostly bounce except for superstructure damage. Meanwhile the 4 in Amsterdam had been landing flurry after flurry with multiple hits each minute. Surely starting or at least keeping fires going on Scharnhorst. Amsterdam's forward turret is fully out of ammo and one turret knocked. The two aft 4" dual turrets have 100ish rounds of HE left. Onward to the bappipty bippity of 4" CL vs 3" using BC! <insert old school Batman graphics> Pow! Biff! Baff! Pop! Paff!
