How do you change the auto-generated turrets? Do you just paste the new ones over them? Yep, though it also helps if you "erase" the original one by painting over it first. You need to have a set of turrets converted to "accessories" files, and also an accessory "brush" for the background/sky colour. My accessories set has both Alternatively, you can also change the preferred turret style in the config for the nation - there are 4 styles in total (0,1,2,3). For the standard campaign nations, you can do that by going to Data/BNat.dat and changing the line that says "TurretStyle=" (e.g. for Germany it's "TurretStyle=3", for Britain it's 1). For custom nations (including Spain and CSA) it's the same, but under their respective [NationName].nat file (e.g. "Spain.nat") in the Data folder. (Though I believe you can only change them at the start of a new campaign this way).

How do you change the auto-generated turrets? Do you just paste the new ones over them? Besides what ccip said above, you can also change the turret picture on the set. For instance, on my sets specific for german and british paint schemes, I've changed the colour specific for those nations turrets (the turret tops are a diferent colour). When designing the picture for those nations with the proper set the turrets appear with that change, but if you use the set for a diferent nation that diferent turret top does not appear. So you can also change the turrets on a given set and use, shall we say, some of those diferent looking turrets ccip has on his fantastic set of acessories and they would appear automaticaly on game. Just make sure the picture is about the same size or they can appear in strange ways, I've never tried it.

I've been really busy this past week - and next week I'm going on a business trip, so I'll probably not get much done on those drawings. Soo, in good faith I thought I'd put up the slightly-messy WIP files for my first pair of sets (numbered 13 and 14) At the moment the folders are a bit chaotic - there are still some of the "old" superstructures and masts left (from Nuno dos Santos Set #10), and the files are as yet unorganized. Some of the accessories and masts are in good shape, others might need to be redone or taken out. But here they are so far - I'll update the file as soon as I get some time to work on it more: drive.google.com/open?id=0B77YKog18qtvRmU4dnBuWGRyNjgUnzip contents into the "Ship Drawings" folder in your RTW directory. Currently included: Background.bmp (special drawing background with waterline - you can also rename it and add a number at the end if you don't want to replace the default background file) Set 14: Legacy CA*, CL (2nd class), DD Set 15: Legacy B, CL (1st class), MS/AMC Note: the two sets are meant for different ship types - in RTW's ship profile files, B/BB/BC/CA share the same hull drawings, and so do DD/MS/AMC. Now, you can certainly try to create DDs with Set 15, but they probably won't look anything like DDs! That's why they were split up this way. Right now the two completed sets are meant for legacy (i.e. 1899-1900ish) ships, in terms of hull form and armor layout. Later sets will add later ships - but they're not ready yet!Known Issues:-CA hulls not actually done yet and the set will not yet generate them properly.-Large MS/AMC hulls may not be drawn correctly (disconnected parts). -Black vertical line at the bottom of CL hulls - still haven't found the file responsible for it, but I'll get it eventually!-Folders generally not very organized yet - some duplicate parts, some old parts, some parts have a few issues.Play around with these at your own discretion, if you want

Man...you both don't make it easy for me...I like both of your works. The parts from Santos including the work from ccip allows me to draw ships with nice rigging, smoke ... Just aß a drawing or picture from it. The new sets from ccip let me feel more like a ship designer, construction and planning it very own ship...it gonna take me hours to create my legacy fleet now. Thanks. ;-)

Hi, I'm just wondering how to set these up in the parts folder so they work with the editor, particularly CCIP's which I just downloaded.

Scanning the thread a few more times I see that they appear to be meant to work with Nuno's core set, and that the additional folders are intended to be copied into each set folder.
Edit: However, is there a simpler way to unpacking it all into the sets than copying the contents of each folder into the sets?

Question: how does one access the turrets and stuff in the game editor? I've seen people change them in time-lapse videos, but they don't show up when I try to get at them, just the masts, superstructure, decks, and accessories.

All the ship pieces in the editor are bitmap files, so what you do is you can just grab the turrets you want from the turret folder in the ship parts directory and copy them into the accessories/superstructure/etc. folder.

Question: how does one access the turrets and stuff in the game editor? I've seen people change them in time-lapse videos, but they don't show up when I try to get at them, just the masts, superstructure, decks, and accessories. When you click on the "..." marked button below arrows in editor, you open corresponding directory and you can directly pick any piece in this directory. Assuming you have dl the pieces, and extracted them to "\ShipParts" folder, when you click on "..." button under accessories, and go one level up, you should see list of directories containing all "new" parts. Then just click on any of them and then pick piece you want, and it will appear in editor. There is one inconvinience and one bug - editor do not remember last folder opened and defaults to accessories making whole process much more time consuming than it could be and if you start adding accessories you can't add mast, superstructure or decks, as it will place original image (the one you generate in the first screen) on top, covering any details.

Demo of my set as uploaded earlier. Thinking about doing some more work on it, so would welcome feedback and part requests. Ships are my legacy fleet from my most recent russian game
