Not after the DRM debacle. Unfortunately I will have to wait and see how it goes. Stinks because this is one of my most anticipated games of the year and I think the devs/publisher are otherwise fantastic.

Despite my rather major misgivings regarding recent events, I will still be going in on it at the start. Still, I'd say that's primarily because RtW2 is pretty much the only game I've been actually excited to see in years.

I probably will,honestly can't wait.
Also lets try not to start the discussion again, we have voiced our opinion and so have the devs.

I was going to buy it, but not after the DRM thing. I sent a complaint when I first bought RTW over having to wait to get the CD key.
I reinstall my OS constantly, switching between Linux and Windows. Any DRM basically means I can't use WINE to emulate RTW and I'll need a CD key update every 3 to 6 months.

Hi windyruler,
For RTW1, you would simply re-enter your install code (technically not a CD key) when you reinstall RTW1. Really no different with RTW2.. just keep those codes saved somewhere, but if you misplace them I can email them to you again.
The installer is not going look for OS re-installs.
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks

For sure - this is comfortably my most anticipated upcoming game I wonder if it'll be possible to do alright not scrapping a single ship from the start to 1950.....

(I'm pretty sure I have my RTW code in a small notebook somewhere around here, just askin' in case someone else has lost theirs).

Protip, if you HAVE to remember something online, send an email to yourself with it, it never gets deleted.

I'm in a different time zone than most (UTC+8) which makes me wonder what time on 4/25 it will be available. I'll be at work most of the day anyway, though, so it probably doesn't matter.

Is there not a preorder function somewhere I could use? I will get it on Thursday if I can but might be Sunday until I have time to play it. Study/work commitments! Loved the first one! :-)

Well, I did separate the money away for this reason, and no doubt I'll happy to do business, but in the light of the latest debate, I sure hope that they will take laws regarding hate symbols as seriously as copyright laws and ethical standpoints.

He-he. He.
Anyway, earlier we had a topic what got esentially immediately closed when it turned out that the flag of the nazi Germany will not make it into the game (which is I think the right decision), and I started to ask about how equally will this notion be enforced - for example, my country - and just about half of Europe - sanctions virtually any representation of the communist symbols by law. So I thought if we are playing by the law and ethical standpoints (which is - again - the right way), I will be curious iwhat will happen regarding that. After all, NWS showed us that there is nothing wrong with protecting one's intellectual integrity. But I don't want to press this too much for now as offtopic; we'll go trough this gate when we get there. Edit: Now that I think about it, in garrison's screenshots I vaguely remember them being represented by a red star. If that's the case, good enough. It still breaks my country's law, but it's better than the hammer and sickle I guess.
