It's rather disappointing to announce a delay so close to release, but if it's needed it's needed. I would like to see some more details about how we control CVs and the DRM stuff has made me a bit less excited, but I will probably still buy it on release. Or will the demo be available before release? Would also be nice. The demo will be available 2 or 3 days before the release date of May 17.

Cannot agree.... I have seen the opposite verified on either count.
Stopping there to avoid a circular debate, no offense.
Thanks

I agree with you good games never dies with piracy but developer bleeds a lot. This type of game is mainly for naval enthusiast which probably has less piracy but with success of RTW1 it gets more audience and more piracy. There are different methods how to manage it and focus that your game would have low piracy as possible. One of easist way is do a lot of staff around (eg. Paradox) so pirated game has only part of whole package.
But NWS and all their people do it differently, a little old fashioned but it works well. I like it a lot. But it has some negative effects that the game is easily pirated. And RTW2 would be next step from RTW and it is almost certain have even larger audience. I fully support their decision to protect their interests. It helps them to protect present, future and secure possibility of next game.
May be you can think that RTW does not need so much time as modern game with superb graphic but I would be not so sure. If you look into the system on RTW detailed you will find that everything is in place and quite detailed. And that a lot of historical research was done to make it happen.

Based on these profile pictures, I guess you could call this.... A cat fight. I’ll see myself out.... I'm an Arcanine! A dog-like pokemon, not a feline! REEEE!

I thought I was at the Steam Forum for a moment A negative, lack of mutual respect, or non-constructive atmosphere is exactly what we will not tolerate on our forums. "Flame wars" are never a positive on any forum, either between posters or with the admins. I took corrective measures. Thanks

I think games for naval enthusiasts tend to have an above-average amount of piracy, actually. Anyway, am I buying it at launch? Definitely. It's been my most anticipated videogame title for years. I'm lucky I'm busy at work currently and have a couple of other titles to keep me busy, otherwise I'd be refreshing the dev journal a couple of times a day.

I will buy it on the first day (and would buy it on a form of early access, to be honest). I don't mind the DRM and I actually I think it's good and non-intrusive enough, as long as the 2 computers per licence are ok, and if we have any problems such as changing our computers or whatever we get a licence soon enough.
So, happy buyer here (although I hope we can have a sort of mini-manual on how to mod the game and add countries, because I want to play with Spain).

I'll buy soon after release. Just going to wait & see if the DRM causes any technical problems with the 1st day purchasers. If not, then I'm in.

Travelling at the release date. Will be back home a couple of days later and most likely buy it then. In the mean time i will keep a close look on these forms to read the reactions.
