I was going to. Now I'm not.
While I respect the right for developers to protect the things they've created through not inconsiderable amounts of hard work, and it is entirely natural and proper to actually want to be payed for something you've created, this kind of headache/rent type DRM is not something I want to support, even beyond the chances something will go wrong with the initial roll out. Maybe I'll get it in a month or so depending on reception and such.
(On another note, and in all honesty, despite the calls for Steam, what I'd have loved to see this on would be GOG.)

I'm lucky I'm busy at work currently and have a couple of other titles to keep me busy, otherwise I'd be refreshing the dev journal a couple of times a day. Yeah, so about that.... I haven't had a day on since Sunday. When's the demo supposed to be out?

Trying out carriers would be nice for those already familiar with rtw 1.

The demo should be a useful slice of gameplay, including relevant new techs, combat scenarios, and political events. Therefore, I think the demo should be exclusively played from the perspective of the surprise new playable state, Grenada, specifically between December of 1909 and February 1910. So many opportunities.

Presumably carriers are already at least in limited availability in the 1920 start and the next five years the demo lets you play.

I wonder how a 1925 ship in RtW2 will be different from a 1925 ship in RtW. Scouting aircraft are in, I bet.

The demo will use the 1920 start date, and you can play for 5 game-years (a game will end after 5 years) choosing from two nations you can play. This allows you to experience early carriers and aircraft, airships, and possibly some other surprises as well.

I might not actually get the demo. I don't want to spoil the full game by seeing new features in a rather constrictive timeline.
