1) Installer isn't signed?
No certificate server for it at present, but for anyone concerned/interested, for the RTW2 Demo installer:
the MD5 checksum is: 203FC5D2D2C17B110B729EDF6EF7BA01
the SHA-256 checksum is : 26A530917310158D7BD58B63B2F147BF3E023D30E3F6735C28B6D5EE9541C57D
Thanks.

You appear unable to select reliability as a secondary priority. Is this a bug or intentional?

When I try to get it to autogenerate a ship design (of any class) it pops up an error message:
And then the picture of what should be a dreadnaught (or whatever) is replaced by a picture of what looks like a fleet carrier. The actual design is suitable for the class I asked for, but the picture is the same every time.
Not a huge problem, but annoying for me, since I use the auto-design feature to make the superstructure look decent.
Try installing the RTW2 demo into another folder, not the Steam folder...that may very well fix this issue.

You appear unable to select reliability as a secondary priority. Is this a bug or intentional? I would expect you do not know how play will be reliable. Only experience shows it. :-)

I would expect you do not know how play will be reliable. Only experience shows it. :-) Yes, but you can select reliabity as a primary priority. Also, I assume this is the result of reusing something else? Attachments:

You appear unable to select reliability as a secondary priority. Is this a bug or intentional? I would expect you do not know how play will be reliable. Only experience shows it. :-) Reliability is a general idea that can be worked towards using general design principles eg. mechanical simplicity, choices of stronger or more heat resistant materials, or overall bulkier and stronger parts. Granted such things increase cost, increase weight, or decrease capabilities. Would be pretty hilarious and stupid sounding to make a plane with primary and secondary focuses on reliability though. "We want this bomber to be reliable." "So what about payload?" "Doesn't matter as long as it is reliable." "Any preference for range?" "Whatever allows for maximum reliability." "How about speed? Any top speed or something?" "Fast enough that it can remain airborne." "We completed your design sir, it has little payload, it is so slow that it can barely, but reliably, stay airborne, and has an extremely short range but you can fly it for 20 hours a day for 3 years without maintenance without suffering from part failure."

Yes, this solved the problem, thanks. Might have caused another one, but I think it was just a one-off. I'll let you know if it wasn't.

OK. I can't see any major bugs. However...
I appreciate what you guys have done and I love all the new features to the game but the demo is bewildering - a mix of non-standard obsolete ship classes in the legacy fleet, all the extra dynamics with the doctrine, a completely illogical foreign stations assignment, from a logistical point of view etc.
I will buy the game on Friday and I look forward to it. But I will be playing from 1900 with a non-legacy fleet (with the manual open in another tab).
I downloaded the demo to get a taste of it and I enjoyed it... but I won't play it again. I have RTW 1 experience so it's not going to put me off but if the intent is to leave it up as 'try before you buy', it may be counterproductive.
This is just what I personally think and am fully prepared to be in the minority here.
Great job on the coding though, Frederik! 😀😀

I have found a bug.
"France has laid down a KE of Diamant class" I expect that it could be possible only in war as stated earlier.
Opening Almanac: - there is no list for KE (corvettes)

13) Ship design: Armour Penetration Table window Get text like "This ship has no immunity zone against 4 in guns." with 2.5" belt armour and gun table showing failure to penetrate at 5,500 yards > Occurs when deck armour is zero and gun has zero penetration against deck armour
14) Ship design: for a light cruiser, deck armour of 0 or 0.5 makes the Check design and Save buttons unresponsive with no explanation
15) Ship design: can set Ship Type to "XX" and get an error
16) Event - date Out latest design "class" is ready for construction. Tooltips for the options are surprising? "Go to the build screen" - Budget- Prestige-- "Rework the design" - no effect "Not now" - Budget+ Prestige+
> Chose "Not now" and prestige was unchanged > Think this dialog is picking up the tooltip from the last time it was displayed because the tooltips vary between classes.
17) Event - "company" have developed a fighter as a private venture. Do you want to buy it? Open "Do you want to continue development..." dialog Buttons are OK or Cancel rather than Yes or No Right click new design, choose Buy Get message "You cannot buy your own aircraft!" - seems to contradict the event
18) "Aircraft types" list dialog Would help to be able to sort this list and to have nationality as a column and to compare all aircraft of a role that belong only to my nation
19) Event that industry offers 1 more ship of a class Say OK, delete the ship name and try to continue - get error

I use a 2 monitor setup, which probably makes me not a priority, but here goes nothing.
In the designer screen it cuts the bottom off. This is not new but also happen in RTW1. Attachment Deleted In RTW 1 i could fix it through Properties/Compatibility/High DPI scaling overide/Scaling performed by Application, however in RTW 2 this bugs the Designer additional armament etc. tabs out. They don't react to clicks and with Wide option it cuts them in half

Not a bug per se, but there's a checkbox for Assymetric Superstructure in the design dialogue; it should be Asymmetric.

4 centerline turrets
I am just developing design of battlecruiser with armament 4x2x15" guns and I get this message:
"Our scientists report that they have trouble figuring out that the concept of 4 centerline turrets."
What they are doing whole months? They are inventing inveted? Fire them all.
note:
4 centerline turrets has been already invented.
Save file checked and I can see this. Something weird. Research6CurrentLevel=6 Research6Level0=1 Research6Level1=1 Research6Level2=1 Research6Level3=1 Research6Level4=1 Research6Level5=1 Research6Level6=1
Private venture of inventing aircraft - (this is more funny than probably bug, however unrealistic)
I have just approved Vickers to develop Vickers Firefly - torpedo bomber.
Next month Vickers came to me if I am interested in their new aircraft they privately invested into - Vickers Gauntlet - torpedo bomber. What the hell? :-) One company is privately invested into 2 aircrafts of same role in 2 months? Did they want to bankrupt? :-)
EDIT: added note to 4 centerline turrets

KE can be built during peace. Small corvettes of 500 tons or less can only be built during war. The Almanac will not show new ship types until one has been built by a nation. This also applies to CVs, CVLs, AVs and aircraft
