Seaplane carriers seem to be incapable of actually launching seaplanes They have to stop unless they have catapults.

Why don't they auto-stop when I order a strike?

I was just in another battle. I was near an enemy airbase during a coastal raid so I decided to attack it. I had a single carrier with 2 TB squadrons on board. I gave the order to ready for a strike, but when I was about to launch, I realised I'd left them on naval strike mode. I unreadied them, switched to ground strike mode and told the to ready again. But, when I went back to launch the strike, they were back in naval strike mode. When I tried to launch, it asked if I wanted to switch to ground strike, so I did, which happened with no additional delay. The same thing happened twice more. Is it supposed to default to naval strike even when you specifically ask for ground strike?

Why don't they auto-stop when I order a strike? Presumably because, if they were being chased and you hadn't noticed, they'd be sunk.

I started a Japan demo game, and two of the auto-generated CL classes I was given have illegal deck extended thickness errors and therefore cannot be rebuilt. Attachments:

Every time I hold a fleet exercise, the scenario will not quit out, and I get a error message saying "No MCI device open."

Also I get this error message when I quit the whole game with a scenario open (because I can't close the scenario).

I believe that may be a memory-deallocation error when the game executable closes unexpectedly, it is not an error that should affect the game or your machine.

Every time I hold a fleet exercise, the scenario will not quit out, and I get a error message saying "No MCI device open." A quick check shows that error indicates a likely sound-related issue...are you hearing any sounds during battles, etc?

I have everything on default except I've set background sounds to "weather changes only" and gunfire to "all gunfire".

Downloaded the demo successfully and it's just what I hoped for haha! Can't wait for the full release.
Not everything ran smoothly, but that's to be expected. I couldn't assign catapults to non-centerline aft mounts on ships, it kept telling me the mounts were unbalanced for some reason? I was trying to design a knockoff Tone-class and had to put the catapults amidships, ruining the aesthetics lol
Also, I might've missed this in the changelog, but is it WOD that ships with heavy cruiser-tier guns (8-11") can't have more than 10" of belt armor anymore? I remember building 10" 3x3 cruisers with 18" belts in RTW1, so it's a bit surprising that you can't do that anymore.... I'd be willing to take them as battlecruisers, even, but they're classed as illegal designs.

The port in Cochin China should be spelled "Saint Jacques."

Apparently the ship designer doesn't like me very much. Japan trying to build an AMC during war with USSR, and I am getting a design error that my 2000 ton AMC can only carry a max of 40 mines, while the design screen has 40 mines selected. *Edit, may be some kind of rounding error, I manually lowered mines carried to 39, then went back to 40 and now the ship will build fine. Bug report from a playthrough as Japan: holding a Fleet Exercise with 3 friendly divisions results in one division being spawned off the coast of Tokyo, Another in the Horn of Africa, and a third in the Carribian.
