If they were larger guns, Bustamante would probably be damaged from the blast effects alone.

If they were larger guns, Bustamante would probably be damaged from the blast effects alone. Isn't that Bustamante firing at the Dreadnought? And missing...at 13 yards range, otherwise called 'point blank'. Despite the fact that the Dreadnought is at least 26 yards in the beam and over 200 in length...

I don't think this one needs words.

That is indeed the most humorous tech message I've seen. And I thought it bad when in my last campaign as America I didn't discover dive bombers until the 40s and never discovered SAMs. Thankfully my opponents hadn't discovered SAMs either before the game end.

There were two destroyers there a moment ago! Now, they've merged, Voltron-like, to form a BB!

Even worse if it were in 1902...

Imagine how much more powerful the initial hit would have been if it would have been a real bomb instead of a test bomb.

I like how 30 minutes later they went back to finish the job.

My Japan in late 1944 having survived fighting four (4) of the great powers at once, losing only one minor African territory has been restoring her submarine and raider fleets from Alaska, round the Horn of Africa, to Antilles and Iceland. Expecting and hoping for a year or more of peace we find ourselves at a half year at war again...
With Russian
and us having Germany as an Ally.
As Japan we launch a surprise attack on the Russian ships at Vladivostock. The core of our attack...
230
Two hundred and thirty
230 what?
230 carrier planes.
Toward their at anchor fleet.
Dear Stalinski, that is not a cloud moving against the wind. That is doom.

China allied with Japan at war with Russia. To counter enemy CAs, China uses one of its BCs as a raider in Northeast Asia, in a sea full of Chinese and Japanese naval bases. Message: "BC so-and-so scuttled due to lack of fuel".

After a particularly hard-fought battle I found myself with a ghost squadron - negative amounts of active aircraft, still rated as "Veteran". Once I allowed it to recover to full strength it was still "Good", presumably after receiving one aircraft and destroying it to bring themselves back up to zero, then super-mega-duper elite training with the spirits of their former comrades which helped them remain a superior unit despite having lost all their pilots. Actually, I sort of like being able to remain well-trained with zero planes, representing pilots who ditched but were recovered, or who barely brought back their planes which were considered total losses. The negative planes is what makes it humorous. I imagine it could happen if the squadron not only lost all its planes but still had pilots, but those pilots or squadron staff managed to commandeer or steal planes from elsewhere in their zeal to return to battle, and it's also humorous in a sitcom way to imagine the hijinks which arose in doing so.
