- What is 'soon' in the age of dreadnoughts?
- What else will we receive with the update?

An alternative display with new class of ship, once the tools are there, thanks Gary, anything is possible, well nearly anything. Hi Rasputitsa, I have done a variation on your Armoured Cruiser, this version has the Ocean & Sky coloured a bit different. Now if only we could animate it, like Gary's forum icon.....

First pass... two new color palletes. The upper one is Gary's orginal blue-grey, the second is a rough approximation of modern US Navy grey, the third is a rough approximation of either Roosevelt's "Great White Fleet" (though it needs beige turrets and upper works for that) or a general light grey like the RN has used in the Med at various times. Next on the agenda... shapes. Straight or clipper bows, different sterns, low freeboard, destroyer sizes, etc etc. I'll post the various sub-elements if anyone wants them.

Hi Gary! Got the hint from rasputitsa, that fun is to be had! Still have the steam and iron games installed... Looks like this ship here has a future too in my harbor! ;-)

What next ? My navy is still in the ' don't fire the guns it messes up the ship' mode, polishing brass work, ship-shape and Bristol fashion and other nautical phrases. As the old sailors used to say, 'if it doesn't move - paint it, if it does move - salute it'.

Here's the latest greatest in modular ship components. I've separated and labeled the components according to layers, starting from the centerline going outward. Layer 1 would be the first items you would paste because they should not cover over anything else. Layer 8 contains the last items to paste and should not be covered over BY anything else. On the left hand side are battleship through cruiser parts. on the right side is a section for DDs.

Yes, in between games of RTW. I have been enjoying both the game and art immensely. Below is an animation illustrating how the pieces I posted above would fit together based on the order of the overlapping layers.

Thanks Gary, very nice work. It should be possible to create an image to match whatever can be made in the Ship designer.
