Any update on when this will be released? Just asking as an addict. We haven't really got anything much in the last few months, so I'm guessing that things are still tracking for Q1/Q2 2023.

Most likely Q1 next year (2023), but that is not official...yet.

Since the game is going to release on matrix, will there still be a steam release? And where do you prefer us to buy it?

Since the game is going to release on matrix, will there still be a steam release? And where do you prefer us to buy it? Matrix is releasing stuff on Steam these days - or at least, there are games available both through Matrix and Steam.

Matrix/Slitherine charge more for their products on steam, so outside of purchasing through NWS (if it's going to be possible) you'r always better off buying the game directly from Matrix/Slitherine, then redeeming the steam key to play it through the steam launcher

I think directly from Matrix might be better for us (NWS), but honestly either way would support our efforts and is much appreciated!

No - part of our arrangement is to let Matrix handle all sales, that way we benefit most from their much greater marketing ability and name recognition.

I was wondering if the Washington Naval treaty start will still be in the game, perhaps in a more detailed way? If it is, I think that it might be neat to be able to tweak the parameters of the treaty, i.e. changing the tonnage limits, gun restrictions, or even changing the start date with the treaty on.

i'l take back what i said about Matrix charging more on Steam - been eying War in the East 2 and on sale it's cheaper on Steam than on Matrix ($65 vs $80)

You have me thinking, I'm pretty sure it's actually a requirement of Valve that you can't buy cheaper than of Steam anywhere else. Not sure how accurate that is though.

Will it be possible, once you've established a price point for RTW3 next year, to prepurchase it before it actually comes out in Q1-2023? I only ask because I'll be out of the country on vacation for two weeks in March of next year, and I would hate to miss my opportunity to buy RTW3 during its initial release. It's not just the savings I'm thinking of, but I want to help make RTW3's grand opening day/week as successful as possible. You all really deserve it - for both the product that you've already put out, and for your continual support and improvement of the game. Keep up the good work!
This series (RTW) is turning out to be the one of the best naval computer games that I've found since my first foray as a kid into naval board games with AH's "War at Sea"/"Victory in the Pacific" series back in the 80's. The naval-building aspect of it is second to none, IMO, and there's only a few things that I'd really like to see tweaked elsewhere in the game. I'm just sorry that I didn't discover your great naval games before about three years ago. Maybe the broader reach that you'll receive by partnering up with Matrix Games will make the RTW series known to a much larger audience, and people won't have to search on the Internet to find you like I did.

Thanks for the kind words slipstream , we appreciate them. We will be considering (in conjunction with Matrix) all release-related options, so no final decisions have yet been made.
