I'd like to have both running on the same machine... I have several games still ongoing in 1.14 with designs that'd end up illegal if I patched.
Is it possible to run multiple installs on the same machine (given how the patcher and DRM work)?

Already existing designs will not be affected by upgrading. The check on legality of designs is made only when a design study is started. Is it the number of secondary and tertiary guns that you are concerned about?

running a save that I started back in 1.06 (and through subsequent updates) without much issue in 1.15 so far. Not to say you should try that but I haven’t noticed any issue since 1.14 - 1.15

Is it the number of secondary and tertiary guns that you are concerned about? I undoubtedly have a few 17-20 kilo-tonne AA cruisers with 32x5in guns... so they would have four turrets (8 guns) too many. I'd also likely have a few broadside ironclads in other games which have too many tertiaries... So long as the ships under construction can be completed it should be a problem though - so thanks! Also, I must say that I'm incredibly impressed by the amount of backwards compatibility (in addition to the support and the quality of the modelling). I don't know how you do it!
