A fully complete historical remake of the 1900 start, from the largest pre-dreadnoughts down to small torpedo boats and colonial corvettes This mod consists of a set of save games you can copy to your save file and play, with no modifications to the base game This mod contains over 300 ship classes and each individual start begins with over 1000 ships, including many new types of ships not seen in the stock game such as broadside ironclads, monitors, and torpedo cruisers, in addition to normal RTW ships This should play similarly to the historic resources start, with the British, French, and Russian navy possessing huge fleets at the start of the game but quickly being challenged by rising naval powers, including the Spanish navy which has an (Alternate) Historic Start similar to the base game Special Credit to archelaos for starting this project with most of the French fleet! Enjoy! DOWNLOAD V1.1Ship Almanac and Royal Navy Preview Feel free to comment on any suggestions you have, ships I might have missed, or any bugs we failed to squash. V1.1 Many corrections to ship designs and rosters. Modification of budgets, slight increase of fleet size modifier. Ship pictures added.

Wonderful, many thanks for the hard work!
Edit: Flicking through the almanac, a lot of ships are given a speed of 0 - and when opening up the intel page, shows no class listed. Hopefully, this is a intel or display error, but there's a few too many to list (all the French CLs for example).
One of the British ships has the name "KE Albacore"
Edit 2: This is in the UK start

Every single ship showing no speed, if I opened the intel page on that ship did not show a class name. The class name is present on the almanac page, so it is probably related to the display bug for a guess.

Err, that looks like my bad memory. I could have sworn that the class name appeared in smaller letters underneath the ship name when opening that window but when I rechecked it appears that it doesn't. I do apologise.

I am not computer literate and I have never installled a mod because I don't know how to do so without forever altering the game and have noticed the comment about removing mods before installing updates. This mod, however, intrigues me to no end. Is there anyone who can provide detailed instructions for someone with my limited knowledge to install a mod like this without ruining the base game? Thanks in advance.

This mod, however, intrigues me to no end. Is there anyone who can provide detailed instructions for someone with my limited knowledge to install a mod like this without ruining the base game? Thanks in advance. 1. Download the file 2. Extract the file using 7.zip, this will create a new folder. 3. Open this new folder until you find a list of folders with the titles of the nations. 4. Choose the nation you want to play as and open that folder. Inside will be a folder called "Game 3". 5. Copy the folder titled "Game 3" 6. Navigate to your Rule the Waves 2 installation folder (C:\NWS\Rule the Waves 2 by default) 7. Open the "Saves" folder 8. Paste the file here. Note: This will replace any existing game in save position 3, so please ensure you wish to do this before you start. Edit: Although listed in the mod section, it is really just a save game file set up for players to enjoy the game with historically accurate ships for the opening stages of the game. It does not modify game files in any way, shape or form that would interfere with subsequent updates.

That's quite funny because my source got it wrong too. In the pictures she clearly only has the one turret

seawolf I've been doing some research on historical naval budgets which I was hoping to combine with figures for aggregate industrial output over time in order to provide more historical national resource and budget levels for the 1900 and 1920 starts. Would you like to incorporate this into your mods?
