I sunk this Sfax-class French CL in an engagement between Imperia and Nice. It sunk close to the "mine radius" of Nice, but not quite. It was definitely gone because I got a notification to detach and pick up survivors as it went down.
Post-battle, there is only a record of two DDs sinking, and indeed, no record of France even fielding a CL in the battle at all! On the campaign layer, 3 Sfax-class are still there, in one piece, and none are listed as sunk in their almanac records. What is interesting is that the bug may have something to do with being refitted, as they were sent to refit close to the time the battle occured.
Please fix this as it will quickly become very frustrating to people less patient than me.

It sounds like one of your commanders misidentified a destroyer as a Sfax class-did you sink two destroyers in addition? |

Hmm, since the autosave was overwritten, I can't look at the actual battle, but how many French destroyers were involved in total if you remember? There was a refit related bug at one point but it was patched, and even then displayed both refit and battle statistics if I recall. |

All I know was the game treated the CL like it was never even in the engagement at all. There should have been three kills of some type, but the post-battle stats only had two French losses. I suspect it has something to do with either A) refits in the same month, or B) proximity to their port and "safety." |

Do you remember how such ship was listed in after battle report.
In case ship is "sunk" in vicinity if harbour, there is chance ship is saved as considered salvagable, similar to some US battleships in Pearl Harbour or Italian ones in Taranto.

Do you remember how such ship was listed in after battle report. In case ship is "sunk" in vicinity if harbour, there is chance ship is saved as considered salvagable, similar to some US battleships in Pearl Harbour or Italisn in Taranto. While that is possible, I don't believe it listed them sustaining damage to a CL at all. I don't think it had them fielding one. I will check to see if this happens again sometime, and will immediately report it. Should I quit, or manually save before exiting to preserve the battle information? |

Because I got point blank to the vessel, so even if they thought it was a DD far away, it should be impossible to still think that at a hundred yards.
Regardless - this vessel sunk, whatever it was, because I got a prompt to detach and pick up survivors, which would be impossible for mere damage, inside or outside port, destroyer, or cruiser. Three ships sunk, of some type, somewhere, somehow. The post-battle stats must be wrong.

If something like this happen and you see it in your after battle report, zip your whole folder just before getting back to campaign window, I hope there can be more information to find it out.

Ok, so the moment I see the post-battle stats, minimize and zip before doing anything else? I never saw this vessel personally (dark and hard to see), but I heard the enemy shooting at something, and the battle log was recording the French shooting and hitting a KE. In the stats after, it showed it as a Cicogna that got hit dozens of times by multiple vessels before sinking. It was my only loss of the battle along with a coastal freighter AUX. |

Some KE is generated to simulate other small vessels as coastal patrols. If these vessels are sunk, there have no impact on your fleet.
