Neither submarines nor coastal guns have a mechanic to upgrade them. Does the year they were built matter in any way? Do they become obsolete and need to be scrapped, or keep up and should never be scrapped? Seems important to know.

Coastal guns do entirely(including the addition of AA guns), Submarines do partially, certain technologies will help existing submarines, but their base reliability will never increase above the tech they were built with. |
