I'm curious if the RTW 2 designers/developers have a release date in mind. This year? Next? thanks for any information!

I love it as well.
I do wish that there was a little more fog of war in Admirals mode. You see what your scouts see, it's like having a window view that the admiral never had.
Also, you can drive your ship like a car, constantly changing direction, sure there's a chance a ship or two may miss the signals but imo changing course was a huge deal and not to be taken up lightly.
Great game though, looking forward to what happens next.

I've noticed this too. The Computer Admiral should just go home.

Maybe a little optional role-playing with the player actually on board the battleship during Fleet/Battleship engagements. Game over if your flagship is sunk. Might put the fear of god into the player and make him or her a little more cautious.

Would like to have a message during a war like "The General Staff has asked if you can achieve naval supremacy in area (x) in advance of an invasion. Yes or No." That way you have advanced knowledge that you can seize some territory if you want, rather than first sending a force and hoping the General Staff does something with it.

I was talking about the weight in tons and it's effect on displacement.
Interesting facts in this thread though.

I have never noticed this before, but 12(0) guns are heavier than 13(-1) guns?

Don't Minesweepers reduce the chance your ships hit a mine or am I imagining that? Thought I read that.

A minor suggestion: when using the up/down arrow to change course on the interface screen the cursor gets set in the number area. This can result in the scroll wheel changing the course value when you're zooming in and out. I would like to see the cursor not get placed in the course number area when using the up/down arrow.
Also, the ability to move the battle screen around with the mouse arrow would help a lot.

Long range torpedoes should be inaccurate, but as it is now there is no warning that torpedoes are incoming which might make them more effective. Perhaps a warning, based on crew quality, that torpedoes are inbound. Judging from some of the actions that the AI takes - it sometimes "knows" that the player has fired torpedoes, either that or it is guessing.

I'm playing as Italy but I'm blockading Russia somehow. I have one ship in Northern Europe and none in Northeast Asia. How is this possible? (playing with 1.1)

For some missions there are Italian ports on their east coast, but for some missions (this one is a Destroyer Action) there are none.
